To admit, It was difficult to start this article and to start discussions on and around the Fort McMurray 'Tragedy, layered on tragedy' as CBC has named this recent and continuing event as Wildfires continue to sweep throughout northern Alberta.

Although, I must echo of how proud I am to be an Albertan for the hospitality we have shown our neighbours as residents from Fort McMurray had left their homes or work place in such a hurry; leaving items that most of us would take for granted, such as cell phone chargers to keep in touch with loved ones, toothbrushes, change of clothes, photo identification, wallets / purses and each situation being unique on such a terrifying situation.

To continue the efforts and to support these residents, GETUS will donate $10 from each and every Albertan that joins GETUS by May 31st, 2016 by phone, online or in store to Red Cross. #ALittleCanMakeADifference

Advertising efforts have been communicated via social media channels. I would strongly encourage sharing and if at all possible, donate to Red Cross as funds immediately help neighbours not so far from our home. https://www.facebook.com/GETUSCommunications/?fref=nf

I do thank you all for your continued support and look forward raising funds available to immediately impact fellow Albertans. #AlbertaStrong
